The Congress party pledged to introduce a Right to Apprenticeship Act. Benefits for Youth: It aims to provide a one-year apprenticeship in both private and public sector firms to diploma holders or college graduates under the age of 251. Apprentices will receive ₹ 1 lakh a year2. Employment Opportunities: The apprenticeship is designed to impart skills, enhance employability, and potentially lead to full-time job opportunities for millions of youth. This initiative is part of a broader manifesto released ahead of the Lok Sabha polls, focusing on addressing inequality and discrimination, and promoting social justice and economic opportunities.
