ILO and the UK work together to improve Lebanon's domestic social protection system.

In order to help the Government of Lebanon and its social  partners execute the newly approved National Social Protection Strategy, the UK government is giving GBP 500,000 in sterling to the ILO. The cooperation will prioritize assisting Lebanon's strategic reforms in areas including universal health coverage and sustainable health finance, pension plans for both public and private sector employees, and strengthening the foundational national frameworks for social grant implementation.
