In response to a heatwave, the Gurugram government mandated a three-hour afternoon break for construction workers. All pertinent departments were instructed by Deputy Commissioner Nishant Kumar Yadav to guarantee compliance, which included giving daily wage workers shelter, water, and downtime. The Gurugram Municipal Corporation was entrusted with reducing the amount of heat exposure experienced by gig workers, and contractors and developers were directed to pay for medical expenses incurred due to heat-related ailments and to furnish refreshments. To lessen the burden on delivery personnel, residents were asked to refrain from placing online orders during periods of high heat. In order to provide supervisors and RWA representatives with first-aid training to tackle heat-related incidents, the administration also collaborated with the health department.
