Photography Competition by Centre for Labour Law Research and Advocacy
Introduction:The Centre for Labour Law Research and Advocacy (CLLRA) at the National Law University Delhi is organizing a Photography Competition on the theme of "Heterogenous labour and labourers in India" This competition aims to encourage students to depict diverse aspects of labour and labourers in India through the lens of heterogeneity.
Objectives:The primary objectives of this competition are:
- To raise awareness about the constituency      of labour, the large working people category.
- To encourage the creative community, to      rethink the ‘gaze’ and frame it to advocate for more inclusion.
- To stimulate a visual dialogue on      labour rights and their impact on society, economy, and human dignity.
- To create a platform for emerging      talents to identify new work, new labour and new spaces of productive/reproductive      labour.
Competition Theme: "Heterogenous labour and labourers in India"
Participants are invited to explore various dimensions of labour in India. This can include, but is not limited to:
- Spatiality, labour and precarity
- Speed, time and work
- New work, new labour and new spaces      of productive/reproductive labour
- Labour, their attire and diversity
- Migration, newcomers and alienation      at work
- Women labour at the periphery
- Unpaid work and undervaluation of      care work
- ‘Every child out of school, a      potential child labourer’
- ‘Divisions of labourers’ and      entrapping’s.
Eligibility:The competition is open to all students in universities.
Submission Guidelines:
- Participants may submit only one photograph.
- All photographs must be accompanied      by a caption describing the context and significance of the image.
- Photographs should be submitted in      high-resolution digital format.
- The competition submission deadline      will be November 2023.
- One must follow the Guidelines for      Ethical Photography.

Judging Criteria: CLLRA will evaluate the photographs based on the following criteria:
- Relevance to the theme.
- Creativity and originality.
- Image clarity and technical      proficiency.
- Emotional impact and storytelling.
Prizes:Winners will receive attractive prizes, and the winning photographs will be featured in an exhibition at National Law University Delhi.
