Around 3,000 workers from Garments Export Village Limited and Bravo Apparels in Tongi's BSCIC Industrial area went on strike for the second day, demanding a 13-point charter. Their demands included payment of unpaid August salaries, timely wage payments, a 15% salary increase, Tk 1,000 attendance bonus, 18 days of annual paid leave, overtime bills, and Eid bonuses. They also sought four months of paid maternity leave, 12 festival holidays, and guarantees against blacklisting or firing of protesting workers. The workers refused to resume work until their demands were met and a formal notice was issued. Gazipur Industrial Police were negotiating with the owners, while law enforcement maintained order. Factory authorities did not respond to inquiries.
