Lao PDR Urged to Expand Social Security Coverage

ILO reports recommend measures to extend social security to informal and self-employed workers in Laos. Challenges include limited awareness of the National Social Security Fund (NSSF) and healthcare concerns. Improving services and communication could encourage enrollment, which currently includes only 7.6% of voluntary members, strengthening social protection systems.
