A regional plan for labour migration is being developed by Latin America and the Caribbean.

The Regional Strategy on Labor Migration and Human Mobility in Latin America and the Caribbean 2023–2030, by the International Labour Organization (ILO), was introduced on May 15. With technical assistance from the ILO, 37 Latin American and Caribbean nations developed the plan, which focuses on migrant labor rights, upskilling, and strategies for governments to use migration for national development.
