About the event
This panel discussion was the third one under the Labour Law Discussion Series, with a special focus on the form of labour and working conditions of women. Domestic workers are amongst the most exploited classes of workers. One of the biggest challenges for domestic workers is the lack of economic security, which the nature of their employment subjects them to. In the event of any illness, injury, or economic needs of their family, they are left at the mercy of their employers, who offer them aid only as a favor. The session was moderated by Dr. Sophy K.J. Panelists included the following individuals:
1. Prof. (Dr.) Neetha N. – Professor, Centre for Women’s Development Studies, New Delhi 2. Ms. Elizabeth Khumallambum – Director and Founder, Community for Social Change and Development 3. Mr. Chirayu Jain – Advocate at the Delhi HC
